Over the Memorial weekend my husband and I hiked Mt Townsend a bucket list to do for me, Check ✅ I will never forget the experience and the beauty one of Gods greatest creations. At the top It was like the clip out of the "Sound of Music" with a panoramic view of the "Cascade and Olympic Mountains, Canada, Seattle and the Puget Sound.
My descriptions and photos do not even come close to the beauty of ones own experience in hiking to the top. Yes it's a hard uphill hike, 8 miles round trip. We started at 1:00pm with switchbacks & high grade with a elevation of 6700 ft but the breathtaking scenery is well worth the thigh and calf burning experience. (There were a few times I didn't think I could make it 😳) As we headed up we were surrounded by Wild flowers of all kinds, waterfall, snow capped mountaintops and old growth forest,
Feeling so accomplished and blessed this morning. Thankful for the experience and the strength it took to reach the top!
At the top of the Summit 🙋🏻☺️👍🏻
We Made some friends along the way 🐶🐶 💕
Almost to the top :)
On our way back down before the sunsets
A Majestic day never forgotten and memories made. It was a clear day to see even the Space Needle in Seattle however the camera could not pick it up nor the three eagles flying over the summit. Please make this adventure it is so worth the time and you will have the most breathtaking experience> :)
