My Mother in law passed away last week, and while I'm not sure who captured this picture it's Priceless. For the fact that her photo is upon the mantle overlooking the two, my son and his Grandfather engaging in a man to man conversation. #grandpa #grandson #wisdom #family #love #2015 #R.I.P.Pamela #Angel #Heaven
Sunday morning we saddled up with Espresso and on our way we went to "Leland Tree Farm" in Quilcene., On the hunt for that perfect little Christmas tree 🎄💕
One of the special moments when decorating the tree is pulling out the Christmas Tree ornaments, the ones that have been passed down to me from my Grandmother who is no longer with us, it makes me smile and takes me back to the days we spent together. My grandmother played a big role in my life growing up, a strong woman with wisdom. I have memorable and fond memories of her and my grandfather.
They lived on a farm in Spokane and each Summer I would travel from the city where I grew up to the country where they taught me how to fish, feed livestock, gather fresh farm eggs, chase piglets because they escaped from their pen, learned how to ride horses, tractors, motorcycles and plant gardens, I was fortunate to be able to experience both worlds growing up, City & Country life,
A prominent memory with my Grandmother were the times she worked for the Nuns in Seattle she would take me with her, I remember the first time I walked into the building I was overwhelmed with the love I had received from them, It was in that moment I wanted to know more about God because the love I had experienced was unconditional and the nuns were so adorable in their habits 😇 I was convinced that day I wanted to become a "NUN" I had Goals 🙆🏻 OOPS 😬 took a different path!
As I finished up decorating our tree, I stepped back and reflected on the wonderful memories that my grandmother gave me and what a positive impact she made in my life. One Christmas Tree ornament gave me a lifetime of wonderful fuzzy memories. Passing on a ornament to a loved one brings many years and memories that will last their lifetime and into the next generation. They always will have a story behind them that can be shared with others. 💝
